Creating Meaningful Impact
Rotherham United Community Trust have partnered with NCS Trust, Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, Sheffield United Community Foundation, Club Doncaster Foundation and Barnsley F.C. Community Trust to make aspects of NCS more widely accessible to you! As many of you know NCS has been a huge part of the community for ages 15-17. Providing them with adventure trips to make memories, a range of workshops and trips to expand their knowledge and skill set and social action projects that allow them to give back to their very own community. NCS made its mark on thousands of young people in South Yorkshire, but it is time the programme changed to reach more young people.

These new experiences will complement NCS’ existing away from home residential offer by providing more opportunities for teenagers to engage in local activities that foster skills development, deepen their understanding of the community, and empower them to contribute positively to its improvement. The grants will also support organisations that cater to specific groups of young people who may not have participated in previous NCS initiatives.

Getting ready for your future can be quite overwhelming, nerve wracking and a world of unknown. Here at NCS:Be On Side we have the perfect solution for you! Within this section of the programme, you will take part in new and exciting sessions, workshops, and days out. All to learn your potential which has remained hidden. You will face new challenges, make new memories, and meet new people, all things you will remember for life.

Success
The world of work and further education seems a lifetime away for you, but if you start now, you’ll be ahead of the game! You do not need to have the world and your future figured out, but taking small steps towards it helps you in the long run. Within this section of the programme, you will see what else your future could hold, meet companies who may be your future employer and travel to universities which may be your future home. We will be there to support you through every step and guide you to a better you.

There is more! Finishing just the start of your journey off with us, you will be given the chance to give back to your community. This can be in any way you wish, when you put your minds together, you’ll be amazed what you can come up with! You may have cause or a charity that is close to your hear that you wish to support.
What better way to build your development than giving back to those who may need it.
